Hey, folks. There's quite a lot this week, so I won't waste too much time talking...

I do not guarantee any markets

Interzone is currently looking for quality hard science fiction. CLICK HERE
Note: submissions to Interzone or The 3rd Alternative are considered for publication in both magazines, so don't send the same story to both magazines.

KidVisions, a speculative fiction on-line magazine that Sam's Dot Publishing puts out for younger readers, has made some changes: a new editor, Lisa M. Bradley; a new e-address, kidvisions@samsdotpublishing.com; and a new pay rate. CLICK HERE

The SpecFicWorld.com site is down, saying, "SpecFicWorld.com will temporarily be down for the next few weeks as we update our servers. Some parts of our site might appear early while others will not. We apologize for the problem but it couldn't be helped." CLICK HERE

Scifiction now accepts novellas as well as short stories. "SCIFICTION is looking for literate, strongly plotted science fiction and fantasy stories between 2,000 and 17,500 words--on a variety of subjects and themes." Pays very well. CLICK HERE (check the lower left side of your screen for the link to the submission guidelines.)

Ticonderoga Online, an Australian speculative fiction magazine, will be on hiatus for awhile due to personal concerns. They hope to begin reading again December 15, 2004, with the next issue appearing on-line March 15, 2005. "All manuscripts currently under submission can be considered returned with the sincerest apologies of the editors." CLICK HERE

Author's Note

Well, it's been an interesting month: National Novel Writers Month, I Love to Write Day, an election, an American national holiday, Agribition, Remembrance/Veteran's Day, a week in New York, all wrapped up in 30 days which are growing shorter all the time. But remember -- less than a month to Christmas now! I did a horror issue for Hallowe'en, and I'm trying to think of a theme for later this month. Any ideas? Contact me at HERE.
