New Markets:

Dragonfire, the Drexel Online Journal's replacement, is looking for pitches to fill various areas of the new site, though they are not yet looking for submissions of fiction or poetry. CLICK HERE

Harlequin is launching a new line: EPIC Romance will debut in September 2006. They want 75,000-word books that are emotionally gripping, with credible, sympathetic and complex key characters, and a satisfying ending. Novels will "follow the life and relationship's of one couple. The books will therefore span considerably more time than the typical series romance–it could be years or even an entire lifetime." Submit a synopsis and 1 - 3 chapters to: Paula Eykelhof, Executive Editor, Harlequin Books, 225 Duncan Mill Road, Don Mills, Ontario, Canada M3B 3K9.

Market Changes:

Wildside Press is moving to Maryland, so be prepared for delays. They hope to be back to their normal schedule in July.

West Coast Line's annual reading period is June 1 to August 31. They are looking for "work by writers and artists who are experimenting with or expanding the boundaries of conventional forms and contexts." CLICK HERE

The Danforth Review will be reading fiction until June 30, 2005. They are no longer reading poetry. All submissions must be e-mailed. CLICK HERE

The Indiana Review will not be reading submissions until September 31, 2005 -- unless they are meant for the Latino/Latina Writers Issue, for which they will accept submissions until December 31, 2005. CLICK HERE

Editor Dave Golder of SFX magazine is leaving, to be replaced by David Bradley.
